Gocek to Kekova via Kalkan & Kas

Gocek to Kekova

Exclusive Private Gulet Charter in Turkey

Visit a host of fascinating small towns to the east of the Gulf of Fethiye. Choose from two routes and sail between ancient sites all along the Turkish coast. This route includes some exploration in the gorgeous Gulf itself at the end of the voyage.

ANCIENT RUINS IN TURKEY

Highlights include Gemiler Island, supposedly birthplace of St Nicolas (Father Christmas), Cold Water Bay from which it is possible to scramble up to the deserted town of Kayakoy (as featured in Louis de Bernieres 'Birds without Wings' and in the gun battle scene at the end of the film  'The Water Diviner'), the very elegant old town of Kalkan with wonderful shops and eating places to the rather more urbane town of Kas, before arriving at Kekova where there are famous sunken ruins, a wonderful castle and numerous tombs to visit.

Both routes pass the ruins of Ancient Patara and the beautiful Patara beach, an 11-mile stretch of unspoiled beach. This voyage is also well off all established migrant routes.

Salamander is normally berthed in Bodrum in SW Turkey. She can be repositioned by prior agreement in Gocek.
