Exclusive Private Gulet Charter in Turkey

The Gulf of Fethiye offers good shelter & calm seas for those less familiar with boats. This beautiful Gulf is festooned with small Turkish islands and historic ruins including rock tombs, and is known as the Turkish Riviera. Gocek is a pretty, glamorous but rather sleepy small town much visited by the global rich and famous in their superyachts, with its natural amphitheatre of an anchorage and several marinas. Fethiye, a more bustling and touristy large town can also be visited by sea. The itinerary shown is purely indicative, as there are multiple options here.

The Gulf of Fethiye is a branch of the Mediterranean Sea in southwest Turkey, with the cities of Fethiyie & Gocek situated around the gulf. It is bounded on the west by Cape Kurdoglu and on the east by Cape Iblis/Cape Angistro. With islands, coves, long sandy beaches and excellent seas, it is a popular area for tourism and yachting. Until 1923, it was known as the Gulf of Megri/Makri/Macre/Mekri, the former Greek-origin name of Fethiye.

The Fethiye Gulf is a very popular destination with holiday makers seeking private gulet charters, sandy beaches and potentially windsurfing. Some of it is located in ancient Lycia, and was known as the Gulf of Telmessos or the Glaucus Sinus. The ancient cities of Lydae and Telmessos lay upon it.
