In addition to operating our own gulet Salamander, Salamander Voyages is also able to offer very similar gulet holidays on other carefully selected Turkish gulets and similar sized yachts. These boats operate under our own unique management style when under gulet charter to us, and often have a crew member on board who has spent a season on Salamander learning our way of operating.
Our principle is simple- we want to offer you the same gulet charter holiday concept on boats where we can control the elements which we feel make for a very special Salamander style voyage. Having said this each boat varies in certain ways and we suggest that you discuss this directly with us before deciding to book . Some of the boats we have used below are featured here, but we can arrange other gullets to meet your specific requirements on request.
KG III is a larger traditional Turkish gulet than Salamander with a beautiful varnished hull and 8 sleeping cabins in place of Salamander's 6, thus has a greater capacity for guests providing she stays in Turkish waters. She is particularly suitable for archeologically themed tours when guests wish to combine a gulet sailing holiday with culture, and she has space to bring a professional archeologist along if required. We chartered her in 2009 for some of our guests with great success. They commented as follows:
Dear Peter
Just to endorse Jeremy's note yesterday. We all had a terrific time - could not have been better - Kaya Guneri 111 was absolutely magnificent and comfortable , all the crew of four very helpful and hard working, the food superb and matched up to everything you promised. The route and weather were also perfect so all in all it was a great holiday.
Best wishes, Tim
